“No tickets are necessary and all are welcome Saturday at the old Louisville & Nashville Depot situated on Artist Way in Berea as patrons take a walk down memory lane during the 19th annual L&N Day.
“L&N Day is for folks with any passion for the railroad to come by and celebrate with others, who share the same interest, or to find railroad treasures or talk to folks who used to work for the railroad when there were passengers trains (running through here),” said Berea Tourism Group and L&N Day Coordinator Connie Mondine, who has organized the event since its inception.
The family-friendly day will feature train memorabilia, live music by Donna & Lewis Lamb and Friends, and oral recollections of Berean railroad life.
During the event, exhibitors from three states (Kentucky, Indiana and Ohio) will bring various railroad items to display on 40 tables.
Items could include pocket watches, lanterns, time tables, dinning car plates and other items, model trains, locks, paintings from years gone by and railroad magazines.”
